Check out our "student work page to see how we've grown this year! More classroom moments to come....
Every year we take a day to celebrate Dr. Seuss and his contribution to children's literature by dedicating a day to reading. The official Read Across America day is this coming Monday, March 3rd, but as Ren Learn hosted their "Reading Counts; Strive for Five Million" competition on Friday, we just combined the two. Our third grade class spent the morning reading, took a break to do some fraction work with candy, and closed the day out with a little more reading. Our K-2 literacy gurus, Miss Nara and Miss Shelby stopped by to read a couple of stories to us, and right after lunch Mr. Gray stopped by to share one of his favorite stories, "The Three Questions". We took at least 30 quizzes throughout the day and nearly every students increased his/her points. Most importantly, we had fun! So glad that some of the parents could join us as well! |
